Jen Kopp, BHS, RDH
Jen has been in the dental field since 2010. She graduated from Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL with her Associates degree in Applied Sciences, emphasis in Dental Hygiene. She later finished her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Missouri Southern State University in 2012. She worked in private practice in the dental office she grew up going to as a child in Springfield, Missouri for 8+ years. She has also worked in a school-based program providing teledentistry preventative services, a clinic that serves patients that are living with HIV, and now back in private practice with dentists that are TMJ/airway focused. She also is a myofunctional therapist working alongside speech therapists and occupational therapy.
Jen has been involved with MDHA over the last 4 years serving as a BOT, Membership Committee Chair, alternate delegate, local component committee member, Vice President, Annual Session Committee Chair, President-Elect, and now President. What she enjoys the most about being a member is the friendships and the feeling of impacting her profession. Jen feels that as Dental Hygienists we are obligated to help people through our knowledge of preventive measures in oral health to live a better life, and she is committed to being involved in the change she wants to see in the dental hygiene profession.
When she is not working or volunteering with MDHA, Jen enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her 6 fur babies, and watching the local St. Louis sports teams.
