Looking for Nominations for the 2008 Outstanding Dental Hygienist Award. 

 

This award honors a dental hygienist who has demonstrated outstanding service to MDHA and achievement in the profession of dental hygiene.  Qualifications: Must be an active or supportive member of MDHA. Each candidate will be evaluated based on the following:

 

· Number of years of active dental hygiene employment;

· Must have been a continuous MDHA member for at least 10 years;

· Community involvement in dentistry;

· Other community involvement – civic, church, other;

· Professional involvement on local, state, and national level;

· Service to MDHA – board member, committee member or chair, other support or service.

 

 Nominee may not have received this award from MDHA in prior years.  If you would like to nominate someone, please submit in writing the name and address of the nominee, plus the name and address of the nominator to

This award honors a dental hygiene educator who has had a positive impact on MDHA and students through exemplary teaching and has had enthusiasm for the profession of dental hygiene by advancing the art and science of dental hygiene.  Qualifications: 

 

· Must be an educator in a Missouri Dental Hygiene Program;

· Must be a current member of MDHA and be active at local or state level;

· Must have been a full/part-time faculty member for at least five years;

· Has received other honors in the dental hygiene profession;

· Demonstrate service to MDHA – board member, committee member, chair, or other office.
